URL Resolver

xbmckodi-urlresolverLogoURL Resolver

The URL Resolver works in the background for XBMC/Kodi. Developed and maintained by some of the best developers in the Kodi community ( T0mmo, TKnorris, Lambda), this add-on works to decode host files often blocked by captchas. The add-on works through those files to find the next working file. I’m sure you’ve watched this happen when you’ve selected a stream and then watched the pop-up window sort through a list of links like Openload, Gvideo, clicknupload, etc. Anyway, it’s not a bad idea to update this add-on and given the most recent events with TVAddons, this update will need to be done manually. Here’s how you install, update and configure this add-on

Step 1:

You will find the URL Resolver associated to the following Repos, and then some!

Step 2:

From your home screen, select the System Icon in the top left corner of your screen.

Step 3:

Once in System menu screen, select System Settings to the right of your screen

Step 4:

From here, on the left side of the screen select Add-ons. To the right, select Manage Dependencies

Step 5:

Scroll all the way down to the u section and select URL Resolver

Step 6:

From here, you can always select Update to ensure your URL Resolver is up to date. However, for now I’m going to show you how to configure it. So, select Configure

Step 7:

If you have any sort of Debrid account, select Universal Resolver to the left and add your log in credentials in the right side of your screen

Step 8:

Select Resolvers 4 and disable the following;

  • Openload

Repeat the above step for Resolvers 8 and select the following;

  • Vidup.me
  • vidup.org

You will no longer get asked to pair when you deselect the above mentioned scrapers. I hate pairing. Now, if you’re cool with it, then by all means, disregard what I just showed you how to do. That’s it. Select OK to the right of your screen and you’re done!

I hope this was helpful. All the best!
